KB Woods Public Relations Keith Woods

Keith Woods is the founder of KB Woods Public Relations.

He has more than 20 years experience in media relations, having worked in radio in Phoenix, and San Francisco Bay Area. In 1996, Keith was elected to the Salt River Project (SRP) Council, and in 2000 was elected director at SRP (where he serves today). His expertise in marketing, public relations, and non-profit development earned him a seat on SRP’s Community Relations committee. He was appointed SRP’s vice-chairman or community relations in 2002, and then appointed chairman in 2006 (to May, 2010).

Keith has been featured in several national industry trade publications for his unique ability to demystify the communications process for his clients. They include RAB Radio Sales Today, Radio Ink, and Radio & Records Magazine. In 1995 he was the “poster child” for Arbitron‘s national advertising campaign for Scarborough. In 2007 Keith promoted the story of former professional baseball player Mark Littell and his revolutionary athletic cup, the Nutty Buddy. Nutty Buddy became a Top 5 Associated Press news story for 2007, and the 2008 number one YouTube video.

Since Keith started KB Woods Public Relations,  he has made an impact on the valley’s public relations scene; representing the Arizona Republican House and Senate Victory Funds in their overwhelming 2010 elections sweep, the 2011 radio campaign launch of Messinger Mortuaries, re-branding of Arizona’s Orme School, and the release of LifeBrokers new national insurance sales division, LifeBrokers and Associates.

Keith has always been active in the community. While attending ASU, he volunteered his summers as a camp counselor for children with cancer (Camp Sunrise) and was a contributor to Erma Bombeck’s New York Times best seller “I Want To Grow Up, I Want To Grow Hair, I Want To Go To Boise.” Today, he is an active volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 446 (where two sons have earned their rank of Eagle Scout), and coaches at Arcadia Little League.

Keith is a graduate of the Orme School, and holds a bachelor of sciences from Arizona State University. He lives in Phoenix with his wife Molly and has three children, Kent, Max, and Chad.
